Today, Tripler Army Medical Center is the only federal tertiary care hospital in the Pacific Basin. It supports 264,000 local active duty and retired military personnel, their families and veteran beneficiaries. In addition, the referral population includes 171,000 military personnel, family members, veteran beneficiaries, residents of nine U.S. affiliated jurisdictions (Amercian Samoa, Guam and the former Trust Territories) and forward-deployed forces in more than 40 countries throughout the Pacific.
Tripler Fisher House services families and patients receiving treatment at Tripler Army Medical Center. Families served are mainly from the Pacific area of Korea, Guam, Japan, American Samoa, and Okinawa. The Fisher House is nestled on a hillside north of the hospital. There are taxis and a limited shuttle service. Most amenities will be provided to include toiletries, towels, linens, kitchenware, prepaid phone cards, cribs and rollaway beds. Laundry area is provided. Reservations may not be made. There is a waiting list of 2-4 weeks. Please call the Fisher House Manager for further information.
