Thanks to the Health Services Auxiliary. They coordinated and provided a Valentines Evening Meal catered by Caraba’s on Valentine’s Day, 14Feb19, which included Lasagna & Chicken Marsala, Salad, Mini Cannoli, Bread with Herb Mix & Olive Oil, Iced Tea and etc., for the Military Families staying at the Fort Gordon Fisher House.
A bit of an oversight on my part but wanted to do a shout out to Merinda and Jenna Quinby for donating some tasty treats. Thanks also to the gent that purchased them from the girl scouts. The resident families love them. Thanks much…
Thanks to the CPT’s Carpenter and Michael from the 20th Engineer Brigade for supporting the readiness of some soldiers and supporting the families of the house. They offered some soldier earlier and this evening some couples to come in to learn a bit more on healthy cooking. Mind, body, spirit…. thanks for the cooking lessons.
A big Thank You, to the DAR Palatine Chapter for their long time support and recent donation! We were so thrilled to receive Mrs. Tiffin Fox, who made a donation on behalf of the chapter on 4 February! We were also very happy to welcome members for a house visit on 2 February! ❤️🏡 We realize you all worked very hard to make this donation possible and we are very grateful!

Today would have been Paul Newman’s 94th Birthday. Through Newman’s Own, he gave a half-billion dollars to charities across the world, including Fisher House.
Paul was a World War II veteran who took great pride in his service and showed humility in all he did in life. He was a great supporter of our military families. He left a legacy everyone should be proud of… and that is carried on by our friends at Newman’s Own and the Newman’s Own Foundation. Thank you Paul! … for your vision …. your generosity… and your example.
