We have a tiny staff and big house to take care of! Which means we rely heavily on our amazing volunteers to help us with household chores. Recently, six Soldiers from A Company, SPT BN, SWTG made a huge dent in our to do list! In NC, we do enjoy warmer weather days during the winter. Allowing families to utilize our outside spaces to enjoy sunshine and fresh air. Thanks to these Soldiers, our porches are all clean and beautiful! Additionally, they helped clean inside —AND organized our storage room ! They were a tremendous help ♥️?♥️ @ Fort Bragg Fisher House 3120 Loop Dr

Thank you so much to the wonderful ladies of the Lewis Community Spouse’s Club for helping us take down our Christmas decorations and for doing an amazing job deep cleaning our kitchen. It’s volunteers like them that help make JBLM Fisher House a “home away from home” for our families. We really appreciate the hard work everyone put in today.

The Elma VFW Auxiliary Post 1948 drove all the way to JBLM Fisher House to drop off a wonderful donation. We can’t thank you enough for your generosity and helping us serve our families. Thank you so much

Good morning! Today the Landstuhl Fisher House had the pleasure of meeting Maj Cook, the Wounded Warrior Regiment Operations Officer, Based out of Quantico, VA. It’s always a wonderful opportunity for us to be able to tour and brief our liaisons and to reassure them that during a medical crisis, the families of their service members will have a place to call home.

If you are interested in learning how you can volunteer at the Fort Belvoir Fisher House, please join us on Thursday, 20 February, from 1-5pm as we host a volunteer open house. You can drop in anytime between 1pm-5pm. We will have information on how you can become a volunteer and what volunteer opportunities are available. If you are not able to attend that day, you can send us an email at and let us know that you would like to volunteer.

Arts for Hearts provides a monthly art class here at the Fort Campbell Fisher House. The class is open to our guests, the Caregiver PEER group, and our volunteers. This month, we made beaded snowflakes. Thank you to Barbara Kane, co-founder of Arts for Hearts, for providing this wonderful activity every month. It’s very therapeutic and encourages socialization and conversation. And a special thank you to the local chapter of Blue Star Families for providing lunch!
