Dedicated to our greatest national treasure … Our military service men and women and their loved ones. — Zachary Fisher.

These comfort homes are built by the Fisher House Foundation and given as gifts to the Military Services and the Veteran’s Affairs. The Army is the proud recipient of 17 of the 80 existing Fisher Houses. The Fisher House Foundation was established by noted philanthropist and patriot Zachary Fisher and his wife, Elizabeth. Zachary passed away in June 1999, but his nephew Arnold Fisher, and his grand-nephew, Ken Fisher, continue to build Fisher Houses and carry on Zachary’s legacy of helping military men and women and their families.

Within walking distance of the hospital is a comfortable temporary home, filled with warm, caring people who help family members endure the stresses associated with a loved one’s serious medical condition. The Fisher House enables families to stay together, cook meals, do laundry, and relax in a “home away from home” atmosphere. There are no other facilities on military installations which provide this caring, compassionate environment. Families do not pay to stay at a Fisher House. Fees at Army, Navy, and Air Force Fisher Houses are underwritten by Fisher House Foundation. While we all wish there were no need for Fisher Houses, the reality of life is that thousands of active duty and retired military and veterans’ families are served each year by this wonderful network of beautiful homes! Fisher Houses, a gift of love!

Our son, Cory, passed away on June 29, 2018.  Without the Fisher House help and support we would have missed him before leaving this life.  We believe God sent us Angels in our time of need.  Thank you.

Our stay was everything we could ask for.  The house is very family oriented, which was a huge plus for us.

So clean!  Staff was kind and helpful when I needed anything they were there.  So thankful.

First time staying at this extraordinary place after having sent my soldiers their families there from war zones.  God Bless for a noble service to our members in times of need!

Fisher House was amazing with us.  We came from 7.5 hours away by bus and don’t know how we would have handled appointments without the Fisher House.
