FORT BELVOIR, VA. (February 27, 2019)–

The fifth-grade Red Cross Exhibition Group from Rosa Parks Elementary School in Woodbridge make presentations to the Belvoir Hospital’s Red Cross staff February 27, 2019. The group’s goal is to help wounded warriors heal through relaxation, and their brochures and “Relax Pax” heating bags were well received by all.

Boy Scout David, Troop 316 choose to complete his Eagle Scout project at the Fisher House. He finished 2 projects in 1 day. Part I: his team cleared years of overgrown brush using a Billy Goat from Home Depot and filled 63 yard bags.

Barbara, from Arts for Hearts, giving guidance at last week’s class. They’ve been providing a monthly art class for our guests and the Caregiver PEER Forum since last May and we so appreciate them.

Meet Billy and Stacie Benedict. The Benedict’s are bike riding from Phoenix, AZ to the East Coast to raise money in support and awareness for their two favorite veterans charities, Disabled American Veterans and Fisher House. The Benedict’s stopped by Fort Bliss Fisher House last Wednesday and we had an awesome visit. We are so thankful for their Big Hearts and generousity. ❄️Braving the harsh winter weather to fix our flagpole! Our Fisher House flag is flying high and proud!❄️

? They also maintain our Fisher House van. Most recently, they mounted new tires, changed the spark plugs, and checked our brakes. ?
